Featured Member: Bianca de Reus, soul connector & animal communicator

What kind of work do you do/business do you run?

I am a Soul Connector, and a bridge between spirituality and humanity. I help women connect with their inner self, so they experience joy, self-love, and freedom, by bringing clarity, trust and confidence through soul coaching and animal communication.

I guide people to awaken the awareness to self-love and joy through soul connection. By consciously aligning souls to soul, I help women elevate their spiritual abilities, as they learn to connect to their inner self, their guides, the animal kingdom, and Source.

As this creates clarity it allows people to trust, align, and raise their vibration through the flow of energy.

What do you love about it?

I love working with animals and people, and the spiritual team around me. I call it a ‘collaboration at a high vibrational level.’

It inspires me to see people genuinely and deeply work on themselves, so they become that person they are. It gives me joy to see people grow, expand and embrace their powerful self.

It fills my heart to connect to the animals and hear their messages, so we can help them, and learn from them.

My work is diverse as I never know who I get to work with (both physical and non-physical), what the outcomes are going to be. That gives variety and it creates a fun element in my work.

What’s your ‘why’ in life? What drives you?

Love this question!  It has taken me a while to get there in terms of truly knowing my why. I always thought I figured it out, and knew my why, but until recently it was a why that was too superficial.

A few weeks ago I was reminded about my why. My deep, connected why.

My why is that I don’t want people to go through what I have been through. Feeling disconnected from myself, not being able to see me, hear my voice and live in the shadow of my ego, and other people. The sadness, darkness and judgement I felt, has brought me to my knees, literally.

I ended up not being able to go outside, as I believed people would see me, and judge me for who I am. I was afraid to be out on the street, going out with friends, as I felt people looking at me and laughing, and judging. Being at home was safe, but not safe enough, as I was still in hiding.

I lived with someone I thought I loved; that relationship gave me a comfort zone. People didn’t see me as the person I was, as I was hiding behind that person; being always ahead of me, in front of me and telling me what to do. So I didn’t have to think and decide. I could just live in the shadow of that person and my own shadow.

The only thing that kept me going was work. That was my safety zone; the only place I felt needed, and I was able to control what I was doing. I worked my way up to senior management and learnt about being a coach as a leader. I then explored ‘coaching’ further and joined a life coaching course in 2004.

Here I met this amazing human being, Tomas Vieira, who I was coaching as part of the course. This man intimidated me initially as he came across as a big shot, a business owner, CEO and had everything he wanted. Success, money, etc. And I thought ‘why am I coaching him’? He has everything in his life…

But I soon realised Tomas was the most amazing, loving being, in a human body. He didn’t even know this himself. And it wasn’t up until now, that I realise the impact of working with Tomas, had and still has on my life and how I have evolved and expanded as result of this.

I worked with him for a while and then he went off on his own journey. A few years later I met Tomas again in Sydney; he published a book and was doing a book launch. The book is: ‘Take me to Truth, Undoing the Ego’. He wrote this together with his wife.

We chatted and he signed the book, thanking me for the time we had spent during the coaching course. I remember him saying that that was the start of his new life; him discovering himself, his inner voice and light, and the connection with the Universe. This was the last time I saw Tomas, as a few years later he got extremely sick and he sadly passed away.

Tomas was the very first person, who told me ‘I love you. You are Love.’ At that time, I didn’t know what to do with that, and what it meant.

But now I do…it has nothing to do with romantic love, but everything to do with love, unconditional love for all that is, and all beings. He truly saw me, from inside out, and unconditionally loved me for the being I am.

I will never forget Tomas Vieira; the impact he had on my life, what he taught me, is hard to describe, but so easy to feel into. I never realised this until now…16 years later.

And that is exactly why I do what I do; to see myself and other beings, and love them unconditionally for who they are, so I can help them do the same.

Why are you a member of the Vegan Women’s Leadership Network?

To be more engaged with women in leadership; to inspire and be inspired. Feeling more connected with women who are leaders in this world.

What’s been the biggest highlight or ‘wow’ moment of your career/business/professional life?

That I actually started a business and keep being myself, with all my quirks and woowoo! hahaha I always wanted to be free and now I have the freedom to continue to build my business and live a life I desire whilst giving back to the world.

As a leader I have grown so much over the years, and  one of the wow moments is that I realised I am a natural leader, teacher, coach and mentor, and I really didn’t have to study for it.

How do you handle failures, fear and disappointment?

Head on! Look, it’s challenging sometimes, but if we are allowing our fear etc. to take over, we are not getting very far. The fears I have faced, have taken me to where I am.

If I didn’t have the failures, fear and disappointments, I wouldn’t have been able to grow, expand and become me in the process. And this is an ongoing exploration, learning and implementation.

Keep doing what I want, realise my vision, regardless. I am feeling my fear and keep doing what I love and feel is right for me.

What would you tell your 16-year-old self?

That it’s OK to be yourself. It’s OK to be seen and for people to know that you are a beautiful being with a lot of wisdom to give to the world.

That coming out of hiding, in all areas, is an amazing feeling, and you will feel so good about yourself.

That bullying is coming from a place of fear, jealousy and envy from the other person; it has nothing to do you with you.

You are strong, wise and have the power to be yourself, you have permission to be who you are and live the life you envisage and truly show up.

Which women inspire you and why?

Suzi Dafnis from HerBusiness; she is a determined, warm-hearted and focused individual. She built a successful business, without losing the vision and being able to keep to her values and beliefs. No matter what and being who she truly is.

Elizabeth Gilbert; such a compassionate inspiring soul. She is showing herself, without judgement and living a life that suits her. She is able to go through deep trauma, and come out with such love for the situation, the people involved and herself.

And there are quite a few more I am inspired by each day; my best friends, Que, Senta and Maggie. They faced difficulties and didn’t allow external parties to crush them. They came out on top, stronger than ever.

Also Oprah, Michelle Obama, vegan psychologist Clare Mann, VWLN founder Katrina Fox for speaking their truth and following their heart and passion, no matter what.

What has been the biggest obstacle you’ve faced and how has it helped mold who you are now?

From about 11 years to 34 years old, I was bullied, by various people in my life. I was always hiding; afraid people would judge me for who I was and therefore I was not even able to get outside of the house to live my life.

Moving to Australia helped with this as no one knew me then. It took a while, but I started to get to know myself; I was finally able to be me.

Amongst other things, I came out as a gay woman and left a 15-year relationship with a man. I was finally free to be me.

What’s your super-power? What are you amazing at?

My super-power is to see in people what they don’t see in themselves. To tune into their energy, to listen to what they say, so I can pick up on what they need to clear, align and introduce into their lives.

I give people space and time to be who they are, and to explore what they can do, what their super-power is, and decide what is next for them in their lives. I lift them up, and show them who they truly are – at a soul level.

I also have love for tuning into the animals to receive their messages, so us humans, can learn and adjust.

What brings you joy?

All that I do, serving myself, my family and friends, and my clients, brings me joy. Having fun with my friends and family over dinner, gives me joy.

Walking in nature, enjoying its beauty brings me joy. Nature photography brings me joy.

But most of all, the connection I have with Earth, the animals and my spiritual team gives me peace and enormous joy.

How do you define success, and how will you know when you’ve achieved it?

That is a great question. I believe the definition of success is quite different for each of us. And it is something I have often wondered about.

Of course, having material things, all the shiny objects, and lots of money for us humans, shows the world we are successful. It proofs to us that we have ‘made it’. And it is genuinely nice to have money and be comfortable, so we do not have to worry about the money flow.

But is it success? Is that really what it is about?

Now that I think about it and feel into it…success for me has everything to do with enjoying what you do, every single day. Feeling great about yourself and about what you have achieved.

Loving your life, living from the heart; that is success. Know who you are…at a soul level and have the courage to live and be who you are, that is success.

If I can celebrate each day, the little things I have achieved, that to me is success. When I look at myself and I like, no, love what I see, that is success.

What is your vision for yourself and your business/career for the future?

My dream is to create a world where being connected to self, the spiritual world, the animals is the norm. Where love is the norm. I see myself and my wife Lana travel the world, as I am teaching people how they can in collaboration with their Soul and their spiritual team.

My business has a small team of dedicated people who are all working towards that freedom, making the difference for humans and animals, and having fun and joy in the process.
